Bridge Replacement. Road closure to begin near the intersection of South Main Street Ext. (SR 2197) and Herron Cove Road (SR 2098) and end near the intersection of Longs Chapel Road (SR 2101) and Herron Cove Road (SR 2098).
DETOUR:
South Main Street Ext. (SR 2197) to Reems Creek Road (SR 1003) to Bus 19/23, Weaverville Highway, to Stoney Knob Road (SR 2094). Reverse Route: Stoney Knob Road (SR 2094) to Bus 19/23, Weaverville Highway, to Reems Creek Road (SR 1003) to South Main Street Ext. (SR 2197).

Detour:
The detour route will be as follows: On SR 1742 (Lower Flat Creek) going to NC 251: 1. Turn right onto SR 1741 (Shepard Branch). Go to the intersection of SR 1741 (Shepard Branch) and US 25/70. 2. Turn right onto US 25/70. Go to the intersection of US 25/70 and Old New Stock Rd. (SR 1740) at the red light. 3. Turn right onto SR 1740 (Old New Stock). Go to the intersection of SR 1740 (Old New Stock) and Monticello Rd (SR 1727). 4. Turn right onto SR 1727 (Monticello). Go to the intersection of SR 1727 (Monticello) and NC251. This is the end of the detour route. On NC 251 going to Marshall: 1. Turn right onto Monticello Rd. (SR 1727). Go to the intersection of SR 1727 (Monticello) and Old New Stock Rd. (SR 1740). 2. Turn left onto SR 1740 (Old New Stock). Go to the intersection of SR 1740 (Old New Stock) and US 25/70 at the red light. 3. Turn left onto US 25/70. Go to the intersection of US 25/70 and Sheperds Branch Rd (SR 1741). 4. Turn left onto SR 1741 (Shepards Branch). Go to the intersection of SR 1741 (Shepards Branch) and SR 1742 (Lower Flat Creek). Construction: Lane Closed
The Contractor is closing one lane to construct part of a bridge. There is a traffic signal (red light) directing the movement of traffic through the project 24 hours a day. Traffic impacts should be minimal as the signal cycles from red to green, and vice versa, quickly.
